Chapter 2: Dawn of a new day.

Grey and Aeri followed the marine ahead of them. "Was the mission a success?" The marine asked. "Yes. Although we suffered four casualties." Grey replied. "Go through this door to the scanner room, afterwards, you will be escorted to the captain room." The soldier said.

Aeri obeyed and went into the scanner room.

"Look! the ODST arrived! perfect timing to!" A scientist exclaimed, Aeri and Grey were pushed into a large room with different things in it, like pods, health scanner, shield tester. "You two are pretty lucky. You'll be the first to try out the new program." A scientist laughed. "Have you tested it?" Grey asked. "No.." The scientist breathed walking out of the room.

"Umm, what is the program?" Aeri asked.

"Spartan IVs! They shall be better then any spartan before!" A scientist brought in new armor for Aeri and Grey. "You two are no longer ODST, but Spartans. Now Grey goes first, if he doesn't make it, Aeri can go." Grey stared at the scientist, but reluctantly went over to the bed the scientist point at, he lied down on it, and five scientists walked over with long sharp needles. They stuck the needles into Grey's legs, arms, and head. After a few long minutes of Grey lying there he slowly got up. "That hurt. Excruciatingly. especially the needle to my head, on the brightside, I feel numb." Grey slowly got off the bed to fall face flat.

"Eh?!" Aeri took a few steps back. "That doesn't sound very pleasant!"

"So you'd rather stay ODST then Spartan?" The scientist asked. Grey had suited into his new armor. "This stuff is pretty light. How much does it weigh?" Grey asked. "1900 Lbs" The scientist replied.

Aeri shook her head. "No, I'm fine. I'll become a Spartan." she laughed a little.

"Alright." The scientist issued Aeri over to the bed, and they stuck six needles into her legs, arms, stomach, and head. "You armor is a MJOLNIR Powered assault Armor, R Variant, Mark VII." The scientist. "Oh, And we gave you a extra shot Aeri."

"Extra shot?" Aeri asked.

"Just a test." The scientist walked away. They brought in the armor for Aeri. "Here you go."

Aeri put it on and stood up. "Not bad."

"Here's your helmets, and, A marine is waiting out the door for you."

Aeri grabbed her helmet and opened the door.

They followed the marine down the hall till he stopped at a door. "In here." The marine opened the door.

Aeri went into the room and waited for the marine and Grey to enter.

Grey entered, "Welcome To Dawn. You are Grey and Aeri correct? Where is the rest of your team?"

"Dead." Aeri replied simply.

"Oh..Well, Since you have no team, you are now Alpha Squad." The captain replied. "I am Mavor F. John, captain of Dawn II."

"Alpha squad?" Aeri asked.

"Yes, Alpha squad, Grey is captain as, by our records, he's been here longer and has more experience." Mavon Said looking at a screen. "Was the mission a success?" Mavon asked. "Yes."

Aeri stood calmly and quietly just a distance from the others.

"Marine, Take these two to their rooms." Mavon said turning to the front of the room. "Yes, Sir!" He said turning to the door. "Follow me."

Aeri obediently followed Mavon to her room.

"Here is your room Grey, Your room is right there Aeri." Mavon pointed. "If you ever need anything just ask." Mavon added as he walked away.
