Chapter 2: Dawn of a new day.

Grey and Aeri followed the marine ahead of them. "Was the mission a success?" The marine asked. "Yes. Although we suffered four casualties." Grey replied. "Go through this door to the scanner room, afterwards, you will be escorted to the captain room." The soldier said.

"Thank you." Aeri smiled as she entered her room and shut the door. "How... strange..."

Grey walked into his room, The room was small and there was a bunk bed in the corner.

Aeri took a few steps forward and inspected the room.

Grey sat down on the bed. "It's so calm all of a sudden."

Aeri layed down on her bed. "So... comfortable." she smiled. "What a day..."

Grey lied down on his bed. His stomach grumbled and he immediately sat back up. "Ugh.."

Aeri sat up and pulled out a piece of paper. She began to sketch.

Grey walked out, and went to find the cafeteria.

In the midle of her drawing her stomach growled. "Huh... I guess I havn't eaten in days." She stood up leaving her drawing on her bed and went to find the cafeteria.

Grey entered the cafeteria, it was a large room. The room was mostly full except for a few seats next to a window.

Aer had eventually found it as well. "Any food?"

"Over there." Grey pointed. He walked over to the table and sat down.

Aeri followed him over to the table. "Do you mind if I sit here, too?"

"Go ahead. Today has been rather interesting hasn't it?" Grey asked looking out the window.

"Yeah, it has." Aeri replied.

A marine walked over. "Wow, You guys are spartans! I though they all went MIA!" The marine said.

"They all went MIA?" Aeri looked at the marine.

"Every spartan, there ever was has been KIA. but higher ups say MIA." A marine shrugged. "So what type of missions do you guys have." Grey thought for a minute.

"I'm, uh, really not sure yet." Aeri shrugged.

"Oh, so your new Spartan IV's?" The marine asked. "Yes." Grey said looking at him.

"We havn't really done anything as Spartans yet."

"Oh, Well, can I sit with you?" The marine asked. "Sure." Grey replied. "I'm Dean."

"It's nice to meet you, Dean." Aeri smiled.

"I'm Grey, This is Aeri." Grey said. "Nice to meet you both. So what's it like being a spartan?"

"Umm, interesting." Aeri smiled slightly.
